How the guest list works

Invitations are personal, not purchased. Some evenings are free and you cover your own tab; some may be ticketed. You always know the cost before you say yes.

    Tell us a little about yourself. It takes a few minutes.

  2. Connect

    Every request is reviewed personally. We may reach out for a quick conversation first.

  3. Get invited

    When an evening fits, you get a private invitation with the date, format and any cost. The venue arrives the day before.

  4. Show up

    Your host runs the room and makes the introductions. You order something good and enjoy it.

The first 25 members to join get their first year free. The first 100 lock in the founding rate for as long as they stay members. Nothing is charged until you’re approved.

A recent photo

Mark personally reviews every request, including your photo and your answers. Appearance is one of several factors in who is invited. This is not identity verification.

Your photo stays private. Only Mark sees it, not other members or venues.

How your photo is stored and deleted

Your photo stays private. Only Mark, as the reviewing admin, sees it while your request is reviewed. If you become a member, you can view or delete it in your member portal. It is never shown publicly or to other members, never shared with venues, and never analyzed by software. Location data is removed when you upload.

If a request is declined, its photo is deleted 30 days after the decision. Photos on requests still waiting after 90 days are deleted. Members keep their photo until they delete it in the member portal or close their account. To have it deleted sooner, email mark@localchemistryaz.com.

Why I started it

I live in Northeast Mesa, run a few businesses, and I’m single. Building a social life around all that turned out to be harder than building the businesses.

I wasn’t going to drive across the Valley, plan a month ahead, or sit through a singles event where everyone’s trying a little too hard. So I built what I actually wanted: a few good nights a month, close to home, with people worth meeting.

At every evening I’m the host. I greet the room, make introductions, and make sure nobody spends the night standing alone by the bar.
