Membership Terms.

Plain language, because you should know exactly what you're agreeing to. Local Chemistry is operated by Wyn Studios LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, in Northeast Mesa, Arizona. "We" means Local Chemistry and Wyn Studios LLC. Questions: mark@localchemistryaz.com.

1. Who can join

Members must be 25 or older, currently single and able to enter into a binding agreement. Every request is reviewed personally, and we may decline any request or end any membership at our discretion, including for conduct inside or outside an experience that we believe puts other members at risk. Membership is personal and cannot be shared or transferred.

2. What membership includes

Members are eligible to receive invitations to Local Chemistry experiences. We plan at least one experience every month and aim for two. Each guest list is built individually, so membership does not guarantee a seat at any particular experience. Members also receive member pricing on ticketed experiences, early access to small-capacity evenings and one nomination per membership year. Reserve and Founding Reserve membership means eligibility to be considered for curated guest lists; it does not guarantee a seat at any particular experience. We do not promise any number of introductions, matches, dates or relationships.

3. Membership levels, founding rate and payment

Approval comes first. Every request is reviewed personally, usually within 24 hours. Only approved members can purchase a membership, and paying never replaces review.

Founding Reserve. The first 100 members to purchase membership become Founding Reserve members at $99 per year. That rate is locked in for as long as the membership remains continuously active; it is an annual rate, not a one-time payment. If a Founding Reserve membership is canceled or lapses, rejoining is at the membership rates then in effect. Founding numbers are assigned in the order memberships are purchased, and the founding offer closes when 100 founding memberships have been purchased. People who request an invitation from a ZIP code we do not yet serve keep the Founding Reserve rate when their ZIP opens, even if the founding 100 have been filled.

Free first year for the first 25. The first 25 members to activate a Founding Reserve membership pay nothing for their first membership year. A payment card is required to activate, and nothing is charged until the first renewal. The membership then renews automatically at the locked Founding Reserve rate of $99 per year, starting on the renewal date shown at checkout (November 12, 2027 for memberships activated before our first experience). Canceling before that renewal date means you are never charged. The offer closes when 25 free first years have been claimed and cannot be combined with an ambassador membership. Event charges, such as a ticket or a venue minimum, are separate from membership and are always shown on the invitation.

After the founding 100. Membership is offered at two levels: Reserve at $299 per year, which makes a member eligible for curated Local Chemistry Experiences, and Local at $99 per year, a community membership. Rates for new members may change in the future; a change never applies to a paid year already in progress or to a locked founding rate.

When your year starts. For memberships purchased before our first experience on November 12, 2026, the first membership year runs until November 12, 2027, and the first renewal happens on that date.

4. Automatic renewal and cancellation

Paid memberships renew automatically every year at the rate shown when you activated, charged to the payment method on file, until you cancel. We will email you a reminder before each renewal. You can cancel anytime from your member portal. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of your current paid year; you keep your membership until then. Annual dues are not refunded for partial years, except where required by law or if we end your membership without cause, in which case we refund the unused portion.

5. Experiences, tickets and venue purchases

Every invitation states the cost before you RSVP: no minimum, a per-guest minimum purchase, a cover charge or a ticket price, along with what it includes and whether tax and gratuity are additional. Tickets are refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours before the experience or if we cancel or materially change it. Food and drinks purchased at a venue are between you and the venue. Venues are independent businesses and not operated by us. For restaurant and bar gatherings we ask guests to come ready to order something they will enjoy and to take care of the staff. Alcohol is never required, and alcohol-free options always count. Alcohol is served only by the venue, only to guests 21 or older, and at the venue's discretion.

6. Safety and your own judgment

We review requests and host every experience, but we do not conduct criminal background checks, verify identity beyond what you provide or guarantee anyone's conduct. Meet new people in public, arrange your own transportation, never drive impaired and use your own judgment when you connect with anyone after an experience. Some experiences involve physical activity, such as hikes or fitness sessions; you participate at your own risk and should only take part in activities suited to your health and ability. Please report any concern to the host or to mark@localchemistryaz.com. In an emergency, call 911.

7. Conduct

Members agree to the Code of Conduct. We may remove anyone from an experience, or end a membership, for violating it.

8. Photos

We may take photos at experiences. We only publish photos in which a member is identifiable with that member's permission. Tell the host at any time if you prefer not to be photographed.

9. Nominations

A nomination lets a member suggest one friend per membership year for review. Nominated people go through the same personal review as everyone else, and a nomination does not guarantee acceptance. Only nominate someone who has agreed to be contacted.

10. Your account

You sign in with single-use links sent to your email. Keep your email account secure and let us know promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your membership.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of members, guests or venues, or for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability relating to your membership is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Arizona law.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will email members and ask you to review it in the portal; a change to your dues rate never applies to a paid year already in progress. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, and disputes will be handled in the courts of Maricopa County, Arizona.
